Safe to say Lee Daniels had the best year of his career with “Empire,” the hit FOX drama. Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the show became a breakout success. The “Empire” success was a runaway and it broke television records.
In last week’s episode of “Empire,” the show introduced a major twist that left fans shocked. Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday), Andre’s (Trai Byers) wife, was shoved down the staircase of the mansion Lucious (Howard) bought them. Due to befriending Anika (Grace Gealey), fans blame her.
Lee Daniels said there is likely to be another twist in the series, meaning it might not be Anika who pushed Rhonda. But, as far as it goes, right now, Anika pushed Rhonda and she is dead, from the looks of it. So, this poses the question of Grace Gealey leaving the series alongside Rhonda, as characters who go crazy usually get killed off.
