Most definitely, DMX has come a long way since spitting verses with LL Cool J, Jay-Z, and Method Man before his own career blew up. Def Jam knew what they had in DMX so many years ago. When he finally released his own solo music, DMX emerged as the biggest star in the game.
Personal issues, however, cost DMX in the long run and fans are left wondering what could have been between the two. But, the future is indeed looking bright for DMX, as he is conquering his demons and getting back to work. Since 2012, DMX has not slowed down with his work, doing all kinds of shows.
At a recent stop on the Def Jam 30th Anniversary Tour, DMX revisited the early stages of his career. One of the first DMX songs to emerge was “Grand Finale,” featuring Nas, Method Man, and Ja Rule off the Belly soundtrack. DMX revisited this with Method Man, when they took a photo with a fan.
