Gucci Mane pays tribute to former 1017 artist Enchanting
On Tuesday afternoon, tragic news struck down on social media that Enchanting unfortunately passed away, at 26. This comes after it was revealed that the former 1017 Records artist was placed on life support, on Monday. Circumstances regarding what led Enchanting to be hospitalized remain unknown, but rumors have circulated that she suffered a possible cardiac arrest, from an overdose. As a result, Enchanting was placed on life support, up until her passing
Meanwhile, many in hip-hop have been paying homage to Enchanting, such as Anycia, Lakeyah, and much more. This also now includes Gucci Mane, who signed Enchanting to 1017, back in 2020. She eventually went on to leave the label, in mid-2023.
“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady,” said Gucci Mane on Instagram. “A true star. We gone all miss you Chant.”
Gucci Mane appeared on various records on Enchanting’s last project, “Luv Scarred/No Love.” That was released in early 2023, as Gucci was on collaborations such as “Issa Photoshoot” and “No Love,” which also included Key Glock and the late Big Scarr, who was also signed to 1017.
