Initially, their artists tried playing the beef off, until Gucci Mane made it more and more personal. With most of Waka’s artists being his cousins and Debra Antney, the manager, being the matriarch, things got ugly. Soon, Gucci Mane was dissing her when it was her who helped him take his career to the next level.
Gucci Mane made claims that Debra Antney took more than her 20% commission and appointed herself his CFO without his permission. He has filed a lawsuit against her and Waka Flocka Flame for fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy. The Atlanta rapper claimed they released music and took royalties without his permission.
