Since 2010, the mixtape game has been owned by Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame and the two have been closer than brothers. Those on Twitter over the past twenty-four hours, however, have other thoughts about Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame. The two, or at least their Twitter posts, had choice words for each other.
With Gucci Mane dropping Trap Back 2 and East Atlanta Memphis with Young Dolph, some felt this sudden beef was a publicity stunt. However, as the tweets kept coming, with Waka Flocka Flame saying Brick Squad Monopoly would continue and telling Gucci to “suck a dick.” Of course, there was more to the story.
A rep for Gucci Mane’s label, Warner Bros. Records, released a statement saying the prolific rapper’s Twitter was hacked. Meanwhile, Waka Flocka Flame continued his rant on Gucci Mane. One year ago, Prodigy and Havoc of Mobb Deep got caught up in a similar spat on Twitter and took some time off.
