Gunna earns second straight number one album, with “DS4EVER”

Last week, Gunna and The Weeknd started off 2022 strong, with two great album releases. These were with “DS4EVER” and “Dawn FM.” The Weeknd was on pace to earn his fourth straight number one album, but now, that has changed.

According to Chart Data, DS4EVER has debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. This is after selling 150,300 units. 4,700 were in pure sales. Gunna also accumulated 193.5 million on-demand streams.

DS4EVER is also Gunna’s second straight solo studio album, as “Wunna” hit this mark in 2020. Last summer, Gunna also experienced another number one project, with Young Thug and Young Stoner Life Records’ “Slime Language 2” album.

The Weeknd’s “Dawn FM” debuted at number two, with 148,000 streams. 14,800 were in pure sales, and 173 million on-demand streams were totaled. This marks his second straight top two album, as “After Hours” debuted at number one, in 2020.

DS4EVER contained 19 tracks, with appearances from Chris Brown, Yung Bleu, Chloe Bailey, Future, Roddy Ricch, and more. Popular records on this project have since been “Pushin P” ft. Future and Young Thug, “Too Easy” remix, ft. Future and Roddy Ricch, and more.
