Gunna says Nicki Minaj is still “P” on Instagram
Gunna has had a very hot start, to 2022. Last month, he released his third studio album, “DS4EVER.” That went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. That was also Gunna’s second consecutive number one album.
One of the most popular records of Gunna’s now, is “P Power.” This features Drake, but it didn’t appear on DS4EVER. This was due to the Donna Summer sample that Gunna used, not being cleared on time.
Prior to Drake appearing on P Power, Gunna initially had plans to get Nicki Minaj on there. She ultimately decided not to, due to how explicit she’d have to get. This possible collab started to surface, after Nicki gave birth to her son.
“It was like, the moaning and groaning on the track,” Nicki explained. “To me, it felt like, do it or don’t do it. So, I knew in order to get on the track, that I would have to be explicit and I would have to really kill it and be explicit and talk that real talk, and I wasn’t ready. I just wasn’t there.”
For Gunna though, he and Nicki are all good. He recently took to his Instagram stories, to say that Nicki is still “P.”
“@nickiminaj a REAL P [blue heart emoji] YOU sis. We still coming!”
Gunna’s “Pushin’ P” phrase has also been widely popular on social media. Even major corporations are starting to use it, on their feeds.
