Gunna’s “Pushin P” with Future and Young Thug goes platinum
Gunna has had a one of the biggest up and down years in hip-hop. In January, he scored his second straight number one solo album, with “DS4EVER.” That contained plenty of star-studded collaborations, including “Pushin P.” This featured Future and Young Thug, as it went on to peak at number seven, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Now, Pushin P has reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it has now sold over 1 million units in the US, and is now certified platinum. Gunna started a trend with this single, as “Pushin P” became a popular phrase on social media, at the top of this year.
As for why Gunna has had a huge downfall this year, he was listed in a 56-count RICO indictment, in May. This also included Young Thug and 26 other members of their YSL crew. Both Thug and Gunna have each been denied requests for bond, three times each. This applies for Gunna, even as it was recently ruled that no violent crimes have been committed by him. As a result, he is still applying for a motion for a fourth bond attempt.
