With T.I., Lil Wayne, and Ja Rule, along with Gucci Mane, B.G., Turk, and others being shipped off to prison, fans thought the worst when Gunplay was sent to trial. Back in May of 2012, Gunplay was accused of armed robbery. Despite claims of his innocence, it looked like he was headed to prison.
A member of Maybach Music, one of the hottest crews in the game, Gunplay was not ready to accept defeat. Throughout 2012, his popularity grew through his music and his energetic personality. Gunplay eventually won the respect of those who were not familiar with him when he found several G-Unit members by himself before he was sent to prison.
Early this year, Gunplay started things off right with the Cops & Robbers mixtape release. The project did well, but Gunplay stayed out of the public eye in the time following the mixtape release. This morning, Gunplay took to his Twitter with the reveal of some major news, he had beaten his armed robbery charges. TMZ later confirmed this news.
