Towards the end of 2012 and into 2013, Gunplay emerged as a major artist outside of his ties to Maybach Music. Initially, Gunplay gained exposure in the industry as one fourth of the Triple Cs, introducing Maybach Music. Once the label expanded and rose to popularity, Gunplay established himself.
Def Jam showed an immediate interest in the Miami rapper and signed Gunplay to a solo deal. Ever since last summer, Gunplay has been working on Living Legend, his solo debut album. With the spring season almost here, Gunplay is putting the finishing touches on his album.
Yesterday, Gunplay reposted a trailer for the Living Legend album on his Instagram page. Previewing one of the tracks off the album, Gunplay posted a message the fans should end up enjoying. Gunplay did not reveal an exact release date, but he did give a timeframe in his message about when the album will be released and that’s the spring of 2014.
