More and more festivals sadly continue to be canceled, postponed or moved virtually because of the coronavirus pandemic. This is now the case for the 13th annual Roots Picnic. This event is set up by The Roots and Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote voters registration campaign.

Questlove, Black Thought, who are members of The Roots, and Obama will be the hosts as it will take place in June 27 on The Roots’ YouTube account. The event was originally supposed to be set for May 30 but was postponed due to the coronavirus concerns. The in-person Roots Picnic would’ve been held in Philadelphia at Fairmount Park. Among the performances set to give the fans a show virtually though are H.E.R., Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, SZA, Kirk Franklin, D-Nice, and more. Scheduled appearances are Janelle Monáe, Chris Paul, Tom Hanks, Tracee Ellis Ross, and others.

The festival will take place at 8PM ET. Voters can also get registered at WeAll.Vote/RootsPicnic. Check out the full list of performers and appearances for Roots Picnic below.
