The past few years in hip hop have been sort of wild, but one of the weirdest stories came when Mobb Deep started beefing. Together for years, facing off as one against Jay-Z and Tupac, only to name a few, Havoc and Prodigy turned on each other. It all started on Twitter, when Havoc went in on his partner.
Throughout the year of 2012, Mobb Deep was on an indefinite hiatus. Their hiatus was over within a few months and Havoc and Prodigy are back working as if nothing ever happened. Last year, Havoc dropped a new album, as did Prodigy, now the next Mobb Deep album is their current focus.
Havoc recently stopped by Power 105.1 and talked to “The Breakfast Club.” He was grilled by DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God about the past few years for himself and Mobb Deep. The Queens emcee spoke on the new Mobb Deep album, his time beefing with Prodigy, the relationship with G-Unit Records, his legendary status, and much more.
