It’s always unfortunate to see public figures going through domestic violence situations. One might ask why they won’t leave, but as you can see with the case of actress Hayden Panettiere, for example, it is easier said than done.
Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was arrested on Valentines Day for allegedly assaulting her. The incident took place in Jackson, Wyoming around 2:30 in the morning. Police responded to a disturbance call where the caller stated that an intoxicated man was locked outside the home because he beat his girlfriend. When cops arrived, they found Hickerson in the driveway. According to police, Brian was lamenting about Panettiere “saying he beat the f*** out of me.” When asked if he indeed did assault Hayden, he did not answer the question.
Brian hired a private chef for the night, so cops interviewed him over the phone to find out what he saw. The chef stated that he left a little after 1 am, but did see the couple arguing earlier in the night.
When to authorities finally got to Panettiere, she claimed Brian and herself were in the bedroom when he started throwing her and punching her. Cops noticed her face was red and swollen, and she also had a scrape and swelling on her left hand. They gathered that he punched “with a closed fist on the right side of her face”. Hickerson was subsequently arrested for domestic battery, along with a second charge of interfering with a police officer for allegedly refusing to identify himself.
This would be the second time he was hauled away for domestic violence. He was arrested back in May 2019 following an altercation between himself and Panettiere after a night of drinking out in Hollywood. Police responded to a call and found redness and marks on the actress’ body. Hickerson was charged for felony domestic violence, but it was later dropped due to lack of a material witness.
