In death, Heavy D cannot quite find peace. Two years ago, Heavy D died, only weeks after performing at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. After his death, the world found out all the good Heavy D brought into the game and the countless doors he helped open for many of today’s stars.
Earlier this week, Heavy D’s brother resurfaced and he had breaking news. Acting as his business manager in the late 1990s, he claimed he had control of Heavy D’s estate. With this control, Heavy D’s brother wanted to claim everything that was in Heavy D’s name, obviously causing controversy.
The family supports this decision, despite the way it seems. Heavy D’s mother, Eulahlee Myers, spoke to TMZ about it. She said the estate needs to be managed and that her son, Floyd, is the man to do it. With the best interest in mind, she said Floyd will make sure D’s thirteen year old daughter, Xea, receives everything.
