In times of confusion, leaders are born, and New York hip hop is going through a pretty confused state. Hip hop in New York was shaken up by one line from a rapper out of town and people forgot how much heat is in the city. Arlis Michales is from the borough of Brooklyn and he is making his presence in the game felt.
With DJ J-Boogie as the host, Arlis Michaels released his Don’t Watch Me, Watch Your Motherfuckin’ Kids mixtape. There were not too many guest appearances on the project, which was good to keep the focus on Arlis. The people who heard the tape are definitely aware of the potential in Arlis Michaels as New York’s next star.
A couple of weeks ago, Arlis Michaels talked to Hip Hop Vibe at Bryant Park, which is in Manhattan. In the interview, Arlis Michaels talked about the new mixtape, as the title itself had people talking and he explained the title. Arlis Michaels talked about his mixtape host, also, DJ J-Boogie.
