The New York City mixtape market is filled with heavy hitters and DJ Jus is included in this list. But, he is much more than the typical mixtape DJ, as he has a background in some of everything. Those who think he looks familiar may remember him from Prison Song, playing Mary J. Blige’s son.
DJ Jus is affiliated with many of the big names in the industry and this includes the now-iconic label, So So Def. Outside of this, DJ Jus runs closely with DJ Self and DJ Superstar Jay, two of the hottest DJs in the game. Together with them, DJ Jus makes a powerful unit on the NYC mixtape scene.
Recently, DJ Jus talked to Hip Hop Vibe at the 2014 Global Spin Awards. While he didn’t speak to us long, DJ Jus updated us on a lot. In the interview, DJ Jus revealed he has a clothing line in the works, but he also has a lot of new mixtapes coming, and he revealed he had more movie roles planned.
