Many look back at the year of 1996 and they consider it a classic year for hip hop. It is the only year that sported releases from Jay-Z, Nas, and Tupac, while both Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. were still alive. Definitely a transitional year, Do or Die also emerged from Chicago, signing to Rap-A-Lot Records.
Do or Die released their hit single, “Po Pimp,” and they released their Picture This album at the end of the summer. The group would go on to release six more studio albums, with their last one coming in 2006. Their last album was released in the form of Get Dat Paper, in March of 2006.
Recently, the Do or Die trio that is made up of AK, Belo Zero, and N.A.R.D. ended up running into Hip Hop Vibe. Some very humble guys, they took a little time out for a quick shout out. Be on the lookout for more from Do or Die in the near future, as they are continuing to work on new music.
