HHV Exclusive: Jacob Latimore talks “The CHI,” juggling acting and music, Kenny Latimore and his family’s music background, and more

Though he’s been making music for a long time, Jacob Latimore didn’t really see his career blossom, on a mainstream level, until 2013. That was when he played in Black Nativity. Since then, he has continued to get bigger, as an artist.

Jacob Latimore released his debut album, Connection, back in 2016, and his Connection2 follow-up, back in April. But, the world knows him best for his role on Showtime’s “The Chi.” This year, his co-star has had some controversy that put the show in the news.

Away from the drama, Jacob Latimore took the time out, during ABFF, to speak with Hip-HopVibe.com. Very briefly, he discussed the show, before speaking on his situation doing music and acting. Also, he answered the question, yes he and Kenny Latimore are related, and he discussed his fam’s music history, and more.
