On Monday night, the world witnessed Lil’ Mama truly come into her own, as an artist. Back in 2007, Lil’ Mama was introduced to the world as a female rapper. Co-signed by Lil’ Kim, many people thought she would be the future of the game.
As fate would have it, Lil’ Mama would be labeled as a “struggle rapper,” but she proved talented. In 2012, Lil’ Mama focused on acting, and tackled the role of Left Eye in the TLC biopic. However, she really rocked it, playing Falicia Blakely on TV One’s When Love Kills.
Lil’ Mama spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com on the red carpet for When Love Kills. She would discuss her acting career and her previous movie role, giving a fully response. But, she spoke on tackling Falicia Blakely’s character and playing out all of the beats, working opposite of Lance Gross, and more.
