Emerging on the New Jersey hip hop scene is Matt Chris and he is steady building a big fan base. As a newer artist, Matt Chris chose to align himself with well-known figures in order to help get himself out there. Matt Chris linked with Jadakiss for his breakout single, “So For Sure.”

The song has been a solid hit for Matt Chris and has begun to receive play on a few radio stations. Momentum is building for the song and it has done wonders for his new mixtape, Off The Charts, Vol. 1. A lot of people tuned into the mixtape and they have liked what they saw.

Hip Hop Vibe ended up meeting with Matt Chris in The Bronx at Moodie’s Record Store. With Jreid handling the camerawork, Matt Chris talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his new mixtape and the success of his single. Definitely passionate about his music, Matt Chris gave a detailed interview.
