So far, “Power” season five is in its early stages, as tonight is only the third episode. Like every other season, Tasha (Naturi Naughton) is kicking butt, and running things. This season has Tasha working with her rival, Angela (Lela Loren) to protect Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr.).
Naturi Naughton, before “Power,” had faded from the spotlight, becoming best-known for playing Lil’ Kim on Notorious. Prior to that, she was one third of 3LW, an R&B group that disbanded in 2002. Now, she is the leading lady of hip hop, every summer.
At Essence Fest, Naturi Naughton spoke with Hip-HopVibe.com, at the event for “My Black Is Beautiful.” Sitting down with Alex Jackson, Naturi discussed her black being beautiful. When discussing music, she said she would soon have new music, before mentioning 3LW, and speaking on the success of Tasha and “Power.”
