Last month, Planet Asia released his latest EP, 2010 A.D., a joint effort with DirtyDiggs. The release of this project coincided with Planet Asia hitting the road for an East Coast tour. Due to his history on the underground, Planet Asia has a cult following.
Being on tour, Planet Asia stopped in Philadelphia for the first time in a couple of years. Here, he definitely had an audience who was eager to see him get out there and do his thing. Over the years, Planet Asia has played numerous roles to make sure the show goes on.
Planet Asia and Tri State talked to Hip Hop Vibe during his Philadelphia stop, sitting down with MightyMiss Rachel and Mike Monark was behind the lens. In this interview, Planet Asia talked about the success he’s had as an independent artist by utilizing the services out there. He went on to speak on some of his tour memories, DuRag Dynasty initially being a joke, some new rap stars, Mob Figgaz and much more.
