Just last week, New Edition had their biopic air on BET. Their biopic, The New Edition Story, received rave reviews. While most people were discussing Bryshere “Yazz” Gray playing Mike Bivins, the man who played Bobby Brown, Woody McClain, also got attention.
Woody McClain got all of Bobby Brown’s mannerisms down pat, even though they didn’t resemble much. This, paired with the intensity that is Bobby Brown managed to shine through. Since the film aired, a lot has been said about Woody McClain and his rising star.
Miss Conversation Piece was on the red carpet for Erykah Badu’s 20th anniversary concert and all of the stars were there. Also present for the show was Woody McClain, who briefly discussed Badu’s music. He would go onto discuss The New Edition Story movie success, the group, and the experience of playing Bobby Brown in his Hip Hop Vibe interview.
