Houston is back on the map and much of this success is due to Kirko Bangz, the sensation behind the anthem, “Drank in My Cup.” Much like Chamillionaire, six years ago, Kirko Bangz has a nice blend of rapping and singing fueling his style. Because of his songs, which feature Kirko usually singing on the chorus, he has become very popular.
Signed to Warner Bros. Records, home of Curren$y and Maybach Music, Kirko Bangz has followed them with his own success. Kirko Bangz officially became a rap star yesterday, with his appearances on BET and MTV. During his appearance on “RapFix Live,” Kirko Bangz had the opportunity to meet Prodigy.
Following his appearances on BET and MTV, Kirko Bangz went right back on the road, with his next stop in St. Louis. During this stop, Kirko Bangz will make another appearance, this time with Hip Hop Vibe backstage before his St. Louis performance. The young rapper has gone from a mixtape sensation to mainstream success with the “Drank in My Cup (remix),” which features 2 Chainz and Juelz Santana.
Kirko Bangz’ interview with Hip Hop Vibe will likely premiere before the end of next week.
