Producer battles on Instagram Live are starting to become very popular now in the midst of people staying home and practicing social distancing while we’re still going through the coronavirus pandemic. Friday night featured super producers Hit-Boy and Boi-1da going at it as they played classic records from stars they’ve collaborated with over the years.

Boi-1da is Drake’s longtime producer and he surprised fans with an unreleased Drake and Roddy Ricch collab. Hit-Boy came through with some heat of his own as he played an unreleased Big Sean record that features the late Nipsey Hussle. Sean was seen in the studio vibing to the record and rapping to it as well. This is expected to appear on his upcoming ‘Detroit 2‘ album. Hit-Boy also shared an unreleased Nas record. Last month, Sean revealed that Nas has an album on the way so expect that release sometime this year too.

Boi-1da and Hit-Boy definitely had an epic night on social media. We need more of these producer beat battles on Instagram to help get us through this pandemic. Check out the two going at it in a very memorable night below.
