Hot 97’s staff talks “This Is Hot 97” with HotNewHipHop [VIDEO]

Setting the standard for radio stations in hip hop is Hot 97, as they were getting shout outs from The Notorious B.I.G. twenty years ago. Fast forward twenty years, Hot 97 is the first radio station to be documented in a reality show. Leave it to VH1 to document them on their network.

Anyone who has watched the Hot 97 videos have seen what the station has with Ebro, Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez, Peter Rosenberg, DJ Cipha Sounds, Miss Info, and Laura Stylez. The team is comical and they are obviously having a good time. Now, they are sharing this good time with the whole world.

HotNewHipHop recently sat down with the entire Hot 97 staff for an interview, getting each personality individually. This show, “This Is Hot 97,” is groundbreaking for various reasons. Each member of the station talked to Ashlee Ray about their take on this show and what they expect from it.
