Howard University revokes honorary degree from Diddy

Diddy continues to have a massive downfall, ever since last fall. This has been due to a handful of sexual assault lawsuits filed since November, which included one from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. That went on to be settled, a day later, though. Furthermore, footage went viral last month, from March 2016, of Diddy assaulting Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel, in March 2016.

Meanwhile, Diddy is also losing achievements that were given to him. The latest is an honorary degree given to him from Howard University, back in 2014. Moreover, Diddy’s $1 million donation has also been returned. These moves were made by the Howard University Board Of Trustees.

The Howard University Board of Trustees voted unanimously today to accept the return by Mr. Sean Combs of the honorary degree conferred upon him in 2014, said the board, in a statement. This acceptance revokes all honors and privileges associated with the degree. Accordingly, the Board has directed that his name be removed from all documents listing honorary degree recipients of Howard University.

The Howard University Board Of Trustees initially made this decision, following a scheduled meeting, on June 7. They also terminated a 2016 gift agreement with Mr. Combs, disband the scholarship program in his name, and terminated a 2023 pledge agreement with the Sean Combs Foundation.
