On June 19, Hurricane Chris was arrested for second-degree murder after shooting and killing a man at a Texaco gas station in Shreveport, Louisiana, per TMZ. Chris tried to claim self-defense with the excuse that the victim tried to steal his car. Surveillance footage told a different story though.

Chris was also charged with one count of Illegal possession of stolen things as he stole a car that came from Texas. Now, Chris is a free man as according to VladTV, as he posted bond. Legal documents revealed that he got out of jail on Sunday.

Chris had one more hit in 2009 with “Halle Berry” feat. Superstarr where he released his sophomore album, ‘Unleashed.’ Since then, he’s been relatively quiet but did release a new single in May of 2019 titled “How I Feel.”
