Lately in the music industry, there have been plenty of major deals involving sales of music catalogs. This includes Future, Justin Bieber, and reportedly Michael Jackson’s soon, as well. However, label partnerships and deals are also getting done.

According to Variety, HYBE America has merged and acquired Quality Control Music, in a $320 million deal. This deal was led as a result by HYBE CEO Scooter Braun, who’s managed the likes of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Braun is said to already have had a relationship with QC execs Coach K and Pierre “P” Thomas, dating back to the 2000s.

“I am so proud and honored to have Coach and P join Bang and I as our partners,” said Braun in a statement. “QC is one of the most significant independent labels in the world, working with incredible artists who are, and remain to be, the voices of culture. I’ll never forget riding around Atlanta over 20 years ago with Coach discussing our dreams and ambitions and how we said ‘If they let us in the game, we are never going to give it back.’ Now, all these years later, we are joining forces to make these dreams a reality.”

Quality Control is home to some of the biggest rappers in the industry. These include Lil Baby, City Girls, Lil Yachty, Migos, Lakeyah, Gloss Up, and more.
