Ice Cube announces docuseries about his BIG3 league
Since 2017, the BIG3 has been one of the biggest basketball leagues, in the summer. This 3 on 3 league has been held in some of the biggest venues in the United States, as it was initially founded by Ice Cube. As a result, the BIG3 has been able to also bring in popular former NBA stars, such as Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Stephen Jackson, Allen Iverson, Mike Bibby, and more.
Meanwhile, Ice Cube is already working on a docuseries about his BIG 3 league, according to Deadline. In this project, fans will get more insight about the BIG3, as well as how Cube was able to get the league set up, in the beginning stages. Even the BIG3’s issues with the NBA will be discussed, as well as their $1.2 billion lawsuit against Qatari investors, in this docuseries. This project is in partnership with Cube Vision and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
In late March, the BIG3 also announced dates for their 2023 schedule. Week 1 will kick off on June 25, inside Chicago’s United Center. Games will last through August 10. Other cities that the BIG3 will stop in, are Dallas, New York, Memphis, Miami, Boston, Charlotte, and Detroit.
