An interesting footnote of hip hop is the emergence of the Compton hip hop scene. Often lumped in with the Los Angeles hip hop scene, Compton has its own history. It all started with NWA, which is Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella.

Their history is being documented in the film, Straight Outta Compton, the film best-documented by the Suge Knight drama. But, outside of the drama, the film is about one of the biggest movements in hip hop history and that should be noted. Ice Cube is just the guy to get the focus back.

Big Boy recently hosted Ice Cube on Real 92.3 and he came in to talk about the Straight Outta Compton film. When speaking on NWA, Eazy-E also has to be discussed and Ice Cube shared those memories with the audience. He went on to briefly discuss Friday and the chances of Chris Tucker returning.
