Ice Spice has been one of the biggest breakout artists in the industry, since the end of last summer. At the time, she went viral with her “Munch (Feelin’ U)” single. The Bronx rapper followed that up with her “Bikini Bottom” single, in the fall.

As a result, Spice’s momentum was still hot, coming into 2023. She released her “In Ha Mood” single in early January, and went on to put out her debut EP, “Like..?,” that month. That project contained even more hits, such as “Princess Diana” and “Gangsta Boo,” featuring Lil Tjay. “Like..?” was a very solid success, as it debuted at number 37 in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Therefore, fellow New Yorker Nicki Minaj is also co-signing Spice. She approved of Spice’s Daze magazine cover, where she’s label as the “people’s princes.” Nicki said in a tweet “Gag. The People’s Princess. [crown emoji] Catch it!!!”

Spice also went on to respond to Nicki, in excitement. She replied in a tweet “Ya heard da QUEEN. [crown and heart emojis] This also comes after Spice was followed back by Nicki on social media, as she initially manifested this, back in November 2020.
