One of today’s biggest stars is about to add the tile of actress to their list of accolades. The Ice Spice wave has had music and entertainment in a chokehold since late 2022. Now, the Grammy nominated superstar is making her acting debut, staring in a new Spike Lee film. Aside from working with Spike Lee, Denzel Washington is also set to star in the film.

Further pushing the boundaries of female rap, Ice Spice is a phenomenon the world can’t seem to get enough of. Since her breakout single “Munch”, she’s collaborated with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, PinkPantheress, Lil Tjay and others. Her debut EP Like..? was a fan favorite, which included the singles “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood”. In addition to her music, her brand is expanding by the minute. Ice Spice joined forces with actor Ben Affleck in a Dunkin Donuts commercial last year. Also during the Super Bowl LVIII, she teamed up with PepsiCo’s newest soda brand, STARRY, for another commercial.

This latest movie announcement is just another opportunity for the world to enjoy the essence of Ice Spice. Spike Lee’s film is titled High and Low, a thriller set to hit theaters later this year. Although no details surrounding Ice Spice’s role have been released, fans are eager to see Ice Spice in her acting mood.
