Ice Spice to release “Y2K” album on July 26 and announces tour
On Wednesday, Ice Spice confirmed that her highly anticipated debut studio album, “Y2K,” is arriving this summer. This is set for July 26, as Spice also unveiled the official cover art for it. There, the Bronx rapper is seen posing by a subway station in New York City.
Y2K is led by two singles that Ice Spice has released, this year. These are “Think U The S*it,” which was out in late January. “Gimmie A Light” was also released in early May, and sampled Sean Paul’s 2002 “Gimmie The Light.” The album title is named after Spice’s unique January 1, 2000 birthday.
In addition to Ice Spice’s Y2K album, she is also venturing on her Y2K World Tour. This will begin in Europe, on July 4, in Roskilde, Denmark. The opening North American date is July 30, in Washington, D.C. 24 dates will be available in total, as the tour will conclude on August 31, in Miami Beach. Tickets for all dates officially go on sale on June 7, at 10am local time. Spice will also be joined by buzzing New York rapper, Cash Cobain, who featured Spice on the remix to his and Bay Swag’s buzzing “Fisherr” single.
