A few years ago, Iggy Azalea made inroads, as a female rapper that wasn’t named Nicki Minaj. At the time, Nicki Minaj was closing in on four years, unopposed, as the top female rapper. Because of the sudden competition, Iggy Azalea was pit against Nicki.
However, Iggy Azalea never played into that and Nicki Minaj ended up giving her a co-sign. Unfortunately, Iggy Azalea didn’t last past 2014, being written off as a one hit wonder. But, she has been doing work with both Roc Nation and TIDAL, putting her in close with industry elite.
Iggy Azalea was present, at the Roc Nation Brunch, where she took a photo with Remy Ma. Most people had to do a double-take, as Iggy looks like a completely different person. Then, there were others who pointed out how she’s supposed to be cool with Nicki, but taking pics with Remy, leading to her addressing the situation on Twitter.
