Exciting is one word to describe hip hop in 2012. Fully aware that 2013 has now entered its third month, there is still time look back on last year, a strong year for the fans of hip hop. Illboyz had the chance to get footage of an interview many of the biggest German artists and also major American names, including Kendrick Lamar.
On the West Coast, specifically Los Angeles, there was a major rejuvenation and a major reason for this was Kendrick Lamar. The face of the Los Angeles hip hop scene is K. Dot, but Game is the veteran on the West now. Both emcees came out with dope albums last year and they were not alone, as Meek Mill and T.I. also came with that heat.
With so many great albums released in 2012, it was hard to narrow it down to five, but someone had to do it. Illboyz has been a force in hip hop and the plan is to continue, so the decision was made to pick the top albums of 2012. Of course, everyone has their own opinion, but this is the Illboyz’ take on things.
