Often, especially this summer, there have been a large number of deaths of both celebrities and non-famous people with infamous deaths. There was a time when this wasn’t the case. Because of that, it made this death that much more shocking.
By 2001, Aaliyah established herself as the biggest female in R&B and many debate whether Beyonce would have become queen if Aaliyah lived. Unfortunately, she did not and the news was simply weird. Going overseas to shoot the “Rock The Boat” video, she died in a plane crash.
Although it feels like it was just yesterday, Aaliyah has been gone, physically, for fifteen years. Since then, she has lived on with her music and Dame Dash often speaks of her. But, since this morning, Twitter has been paying homage to the beautiful, young, lady who was taken too soon.
