While Chrisette Michele is one of the current leading Neo Soul artists, India Arie is one of the veterans. She debuted during the summer of 2001 with “Video Girl.” The message she has put out through her music has always been inspiring.
India Arie is also a very loyal person, which is a major reason why she is still here, with so many not lasting. When she saw Chrisette Michele being attacked, India Arie spoke out. Seeing how they represent the same culture, and the same sub-genre, India showed her loyalty.
Unfortunately, the people on social media were not as friendly. The fans have shown India Arie absolutely no love. Totally undeserving of this, they have put her on “the list” with Kanye West, Steve Harvey, Jim Brown, Ray Lewis, and all of the others, which includes Chrisette Michele.
