Last night was tough to watch for a fan of basketball, a real fan. Even if a person is a Cleveland Cavaliers’ fan, they wouldn’t want a game to get this out of hand. Game 2 ended up being the worst game in the franchise history of the Boston Celtics.

Isaiah Thomas, to his credit, has breathed new life into the Celtics, who were going nowhere fast. During the Big Three era, the Celtics rose to contention and dominated for five years. Their decline resulted in only one non-playoff season, before IT came.

But, a 44 point home loss in Game 2 puts the writing on the wall for anyone who knows basketball. When the game was 72-41 at halftime, Isaiah Thomas left the game and did not return. Now, he’s not returning for the entire series, pretty much giving the Cavs their third straight Finals berth and LeBron’s seventh straight trip.
