Issa Rae recently dealt with her series, “Rap Sh!t,” getting cancelled. After only two seasons, this has to be disappointing. In 2016, she launched her series, “Insecure,” which was a tremendous success. When that show became a major success, Issa Rae landed a deal with HBO. After that, WarnerMedia, HBO’s parent company offered her a bigger deal. However, her hit show was cancelled after two seasons. As a result, Issa expressed her disappointment.

Issa Rae gained prominence by independently releasing her content on YouTube. The success of her web shows led to HBO offering her a deal to produce “Insecure.” After that, HBO gave her a deal to create more TV shows. As a result, WarnerMedia came and offered Issa an even larger deal to continue creating more programs. Despite continuing to deliver, Issa Rae dealt with “Rap Sh!” getting cancelled. Millions of fans have complained about the show getting cancelled.

Issa Rae recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, about “Rap Sh!t.” She expressed her frustration about situations like this. While she didn’t directly name any names, she did say she doesn’t like how the major studios are cancelling Black series. When she opened up about this, her frustration and disappointment was evident. Issa Rae openly mused about the possibility of going back to creating content independently.
