J Balvin issues apology for having black women in leashes in “Perra” video

In music, J Balvin is one of the biggest names. The Latin music star made major hip hop moves, in 2018. He gave Cardi B an assist on “I Like It,” helping her top Billboard Hot 100, for a second time.
Three summers ago, J Balvin was universally loved. This was the case, until the “Perra” music video dropped. The video has him displaying black women wearing dog leashes, down on all fours.
Facing much backlash, J Balvin had the “Perra” music video removed. Due to the backlash, he issued an apology, via his IG Story. Since then, he has come with a video, offering a formal apology.
