J. Cole is viewed by plenty, as one of the biggest artists of this generation. He established himself as one of hip-hop’s next stars back in 2009, and has elevated every single year since then.

In 2021, Cole released his sixth studio album, “The Off-Season.” This became his sixth straight number one album, as every album in his career has reached that top debut. The Off-Season also reached platinum eligibility.

That same year, Cole was even able to play with another professional basketball team. This was with a team in the Toronto area, as Drake even came through to watch him play, for the Canadian Elite Basketball League. That came after Cole played pro basketball in Africa, in 2021.

In 2022, Cole and his Dreamville label also released a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama, which was “D-Day.”  However, To start 2023, Cole has cleared out all content from his Instagram page. This led to many fans assuming that new music might be on the way. This is due to many artists making this move on social media, whenever a new project is being prepared.
