Missing out on any new music from J. Cole in a year, with the exception of a few songs released, here and there, it has been a two year hiatus. Many have questioned if J. Cole can come back strong enough to recapture the essence he had in 2011. J. Cole has begun putting doubters to rest with such songs as “Power Trip.”
J. Cole is putting the finishing touches on Born Sinner, his sophomore album. Returning with new music, J. Cole did something rare and pushed his album up. With Kanye West set to release his album on June 18, J. Cole pushed his up to avoid being overlooked and now June 18 is set to be another “clash of the titans.”
With his album due in a month, J. Cole is getting the promotion in. “Power Trip,” which features Miguel, is continuing to do well. As his single gains momentum, J. Cole is preparing to drop the next single from the album and he recently did the cover of Billboard to go along with the new song he leaked.
