A few days ago, J. Cole gave his fans a huge announcement and that was that his fifth studio album would finally be arriving on May 14. This project is titled “The Off-Season” and is one of the albums leading up to the “The Fall-Off” album. Now, there will be a new song from The Off-Season dropping tonight.
Cole took to his Instagram feed this afternoon to announce that his “Interlude” single will be available at midnight ET. He originally planned to put out everything at once with the The Off-Season album but, he just wanted to make this release happen.
“Told myself I would drop the album all at once,” said Cole on IG. “Sometimes you gotta say fuck it tho. New song tonight. 12 o’clock. “Interlude” from The Off-Season.”
Expectations are high for The Off-Season overall as this is Cole’s first project since 2018’s “KOD.” Based on the hype lately, this album could very well be Cole’s sixth consecutive number one album. All of his albums are at least at platinum status in the US as well.
