J. Cole shares letter from Colin Kaepernick to New York Jets, about wanting to join team as quarterback

J. Cole shares Colin Kaepernick letter about wanting to play for Jets

It’s been over six years now, since Colin Kaepernick has suited up for an NFL team. At the time, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, who he took to a Super Bowl in the 2012 season. However, Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem in the 2016 season, to protest racism and police brutality in the United States.

As a result, it is believed that Kaepernick has since been blackballed by the NFL, from signing with any teams. He held an open workout in November 2019, but didn’t go on to get an offer from any team.

Meanwhile, J. Cole has shared a letter from Kaepernick, on Instagram, that was written to the New York Jets. This comes after recent reports that Kaep reached out to the team. Here, Kaep expressed interest in playing for the New York Jets. This comes amid star quarterback Aaron Rodgers injuring his Achilles in the first game of the season, and having to miss the rest of the season.

Furthermore, Kaepernick explained how his workout schedule has been very consistent over the last six years, and he’s ready to play. Kaepernick also wished current Jets QB Zach Wilson the best. A list of references were also included, such as his former San Francisco 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, who is now the current Head Coach at the University of Michigan.
