J. Cole talks “Born Sinner” album sales, Elton John, TLC, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Hip hop’s lyrical trend was reintroduced by such names as J. Cole, a product who comes to hip hop from Fayetteville, North Carolina. A rural city in comparison to the metropolis of New York City, where Jay-Z is from, and Los Angeles, J. Cole helped cast a wide spotlight on the city and state. His music speaks for itself.

J. Cole intentionally placed his Born Sinner against Kanye West’s Yeezus and most expected him to lose the first week sales battle, which he did. Surprisingly, the contest was pretty close and J. Cole became the clear cut winner in the sales war. Born Sinner made it to gold weeks before Yeezus.

Las Vegas was the place to be, as the iHeart Radio Music Festival was going on and all the stars were present. J. Cole and Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” of DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God also attended. These four got together to discuss Born Sinner vs. Yeezus, Elton John, TLC, and much more.
