The city of Fayetteville can’t help but to be proud of J. Cole and everything he’s doing out there. Here in the city and in the state of North Carolina, as a whole, there is a lot of talent and it feels good to see the world finally embracing it. J. Cole will be the first of many new generation North Carolina stars to put on for the Tar Heel state.

This summer, J. Cole released his Born Sinner album, which was one of the best albums to drop this year. J. Cole has shown a penchant for getting legends to appear on his singles and he continued this run with TLC appearing on “Crooked Smile.” The music video for “Crooked Smile” premiered last week.

J. Cole’s video has already become popular and is a major contrast from his last music video. A lot of people would be surprised about what inspired J. Cole’s music video for the “Crooked Smile” single. He had his chance to let the people know when MTV News talked to him and he revealed “Fruitvale Station” inspired the visuals.
