J. Cole talks not making MTV’s Hottest MCs in the Game list and more with Bootleg Kev [AUDIO]

Many were disappointed with the number of delays J. Cole’s debut album, Cole World, received. An album many expected to hear before the summer of 2010 was met with a series of delays. During the summer of 2011, J. Cole revealed he would release his album before the end of September 2011.

J. Cole eventually rose to take over the rap game when he finally released his debut album. Throughout the final months of 2011, J. Cole dominated the radio and internet headlines. Despite his success during late 2011, J. Cole was overlooked in the hip hop countdown, MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game” list.

Recently, J. Cole was in Las Vegas and he caught up with Bootleg Kev and he spoke on his Twitter hiatus, his absence on the MTV list, and much more.
