J. Cole’s “The Off-Season” album reaches platinum eligibility

Back in May, J. Cole finally released his sixth studio album, “The Off-Season.” This would become his first studio album since 2018’s “KOD.”
The Off-Season was led by J. Cole’s “The Climb Back” single, and featured plenty of other huge collabs, such as with 21 Savage, 6LACK, Lil Baby, cellos Fayeteville native Morray, and more.
The Off-Season went on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. That became Cole’s sixth consecutive number one, as all of his albums have reached this position. Now, The Off-Season has reached another impressive milestone.
According to Chart Data, The Off-Season has now sold 1 million units in the US. This originally pus it at platinum eligibility.
In addition to The Off-Season going platinum, Cole is also Grammy-nominated next month. He has four in total, which are for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Performance. These include The Off-Season, “Pride Is The Devil,” and “My Life,” Ft. 21 Savage and Morray.
