J. Cole’s “The Off-Season,” Heading For Top Spot on Billboard 200 Chart, and Would Be His Sixth Consecutive Number One Album

On Friday, J. Cole finally released his highly anticipated “The Off-Season” album. This was also his first album since 2018’s “KOD.” It was expected to not have any features as usual but that quickly changed.

The Off-Season contains 12 tracks as it’s lead by the singles “Lion King On Ice,” “The Climb Back” and “Interlude.” Guest appearances included Lil Baby and 21 Savage. 21 and Cole had previously collaborated on 21’s 2018 hit single, “A Lot.”

According to Chart Data, The Off-Season is in for a huge first week. It is aiming for a number one debut on the Billboard 200 chart with between 280,000-310,000 units sold in its first week. It would also be the biggest first week debut for an album in 2021. The Off-Season exceeded many listeners’ expectations as it’s already being labeled as the album of the year so far.
